Easy to Explore in Sharjah, UAE

I never expected that I'd have the luxury of time to explore Sharjah as I arrived UAE. While waiting for my employment visa to be okay, I took the opportunity to venture and journey the place for free. Yes! I explored it for free!

Sharjah is just one of the 7 emirates in the country of United Arab Emirates. It's also the third largest city in UAE after Dubai and Abu Dhabi. As I get to know the place, I discovered that festivals also exist here and one of it is the "Sharjah Light Festival". It's celebrated each year for nine days making the City transform into a land of magic, mystery, fascination and wonders during night time because of the different changing-lights reflecting a deceiving look of architectures and designs.

Sharjah, just like the other UAE Emirates is not as gifted compared to Philippines when it comes to nature and ecosystem since the soil here is almost everything SAND. But what's really very admirable and amazing is they don't wait for nature to be naturally given, they make way on how to experience nature through creating it. Brilliant!

Another scenery which always captures my eyes everytime I get to pass by it (riding a taxi) is the very tall flag pole of UAE. I was really so curious about it and guess what? Yeah! My curiosity brought my feet there. The place is just so vast and wide but I saw not even a single person as I was approaching. I even thought that it's a restricted area but it didn't stop me from keep going because at the back of my mind, a wise woman's thinking is popping "If there's a security personnel here, surely they'll gonna kick me out if this place is restricted" but no one did, so I ended up finding myself to be there. Wohoo! The place is called the Flag Island. I was so astounded with the ambiance of the place as it has so many flowers arranged accordingly and carefully. It's landscape is just simply amazing. The place also has this exhibit-like area in which it entails the remarkable happenings, people, landmarks and sites in UAE.

I also went to Al Qasba, Sharjah -- different world of fun for all ages. There I discovered the astonishing "Eye of the Emirates Wheel" which is very ideal in city sightseeing with a bonus of natural cold air. For kids adventure, "Kids Fun Zone" is the place for children of all ages to socialize and interact with their peers while having fun. The experience is fun in the "Al Qasba Musical Fountain" wherein you can get wet with the rhythm of music. But if you want to just take a picture of you within the dancing fountain, just please be alert as it outrageously blows its water which will probably make you go home disappointingly wet (haha). And if you wanna cherish some romantic or savory moment with the flowing water within the place, it also has this "Al Qasba Boats Tour."

And a few more. Sharjah has so many Parks. Some usually has playground for kids. To name some, there's Al Ittihad Park which has a wide green grass, the Buhairah Corniche (first park I got to go) which totally made me think that it's like a paradise the Al Majaz Waterfront which you can do many recreational activities may it be for picnic or letting your kids have some fun (I wish to make a separate post for it as I have many things to share about the place) and really a lot more.
