SFC ICON 2014: Journey Beyond

"It's not just the adventure that makes the journey worth the while; it's the learnings and the experiences!"
Take it back off because this time, I journeyed with my Singles for Christ family to attend the SFC International Conference or SFC ICON. It's held into different places every year and for 2014, in Cagayan de Oro, with the theme of "Journey Beyond". The theme just says it all! It's literally a different journey, a different experience and a different story to tell as it was an amazing SPIRITUAL JOURNEY while at the same time having fun and adventure.

So, what is spiritual journey? As defined in kellesparta, "A spiritual journey is a trip taken in either physical or spiritual space which causes the traveler to grow, change, and/or evolve in some fashion." I have many plans in life, but they have one common goal, it's to GROW! Spiritual growth is what I was seeking when I took the opportunity to attend the said event together with over 6,000 single men and women all over the world wanted to experience more about Christ.

As a Roman Catholic, I always find myself empty handed in defending what I believe in. For an instance, defending on why we believe in Mother Mary where in fact, she's not God and is a human being like us. In the conference, speakers did help us to understand and know more about our faith. Truly, that was a very life changing experience, a different one, a journey to ponder upon. It's just a weekend full of wisdom, praises and satisfaction.

I also did not allow missing the chance to visit the very known Sacred Heart of Jesus Divine Mercy Shrine in El Salvador. The place is just really perfect to those people who wanted to have some peace of mind and just talk to God. The ambiance is really so holy that you'll wish it's just a ride from your place so that anytime, you can just reach there.

Saint Augustine said "You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.", a message to ponder.

Let me quote this again, "It's not just the adventure that makes the journey worth the while; it's the learnings and the experiences!"

Just always JOURNEY BEYOND! :D
